  Position  

Specialist, Documentation; Communicable Diseases Programme (Contractual)

Job Description/Responsibilities:

  • Support to develop guidelines, SOPs, communication materials and different reporting formats for COVID-19 related information jointly with the government
  • Develop plan to organise COVID-19 related risk communications, orientations, sensitisation meetings, etc. in the community level
  • Develop targeted approaches to reaching the community with risk communication and services, taking into account gender, age, race, disability, education, migration status.
  • Develop plan for capacity building of relevant staffs jointly with National TB Control Programme (NTP)
  • Ensure COVID-19 related logistics and supplies timely at field level
  • Undertake regular visit to fields to support implementation, monitoring and supervision to check the quality of data produce
  • Guide field team for proper recording and reporting at healthcare facilities and timely reporting at central level
  • Ensure the data collection, cleaning, compilation and produce quality data related to COVID-19 response
  • Ensure documentation and dissemination of the integrated COVID-19 response services with TB, HIV and Malaria
  • Collaboration with NTP, ASP, NMEP, LFA, WHO, donor and other technical partners for recording and reporting
  • Review different international recommendations (by WHO) and best practices to assist in the programme designing as necessary
  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
  Requirements  

Educational Requirements:

MBBS/ Bachelor’s degree from any recognised university/ institutions

Experience Requirement:

Minimum 02 years of experience in health-related project


Additional Requirements:

  • Have sound knowledge on health system in Bangladesh
  • Have strong interpersonal and multicultural communication skills
  • Have strong written and oral communication skills both in English and Bengali
  • Have proficiency in computer skills with all Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
