Job Description / Responsibility:

Anandalok Trust is looking for a dynamic Project Manager for its “Educational Prospects for Children from Marginalized Groups – Quality Education, Safe Schools, Active Civil Society (short: SATIRTHO) Project” supported by Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and NETZ Partnership for Development and Justice. The Project Manager will be responsible for programme implementation and execution; managing and monitoring programme staff; designing and conducting trainings, workshops; programme documentation and reporting; coordinating monthly action plans and team meetings; communicating with authorities; local advocacy responsibilities; crisis management as needed. He/ She will also be responsible for leading the project and guiding the project staff of Trust; communication, and coordination with civil society members, community and GO, NGO representatives for a better implementation aspect.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, yearly project implementation Planning;
  • Prepare guideline for project implementation;
  • Ensure smooth implementation of all activities of the project as per plan;
  • Provide orientation and guidance of the project’s staff members for better implementation of project activities
  • Generate new and innovative ideas for effective implementation of project activities
  • Facilitate training sessions on different issues for various stakeholder groups
  • Day to day monitor of project activities and share assessment and report to the Executive Director
  • Preparation of narrative and others report as per needs of AT as well as back donor
  • Prepare the budget according to activity plan and keep all the expenses within the approved budget limit.
  • Cooperate with the accounts department to prepare organizational annual budget as well as different programme/project budget;
  • Check/recommend/approved all  advance, expenditure and bill/voucher of the Project;
  • Take necessary initiative to improve professional capacity of staff;
  • Attend meeting, workshop, seminar organized by donor organization or different GO/NGO;
  • Cooperate in sending progress reports of different programs timely as required by donors;
  • Rapport building with representatives of Donors, GO, NGOs & stakeholders;


Job Nature: Full-time; Direct reportable to Executive Director.

Educational Requirements:  
Masters Degree in any discipline; an advanced degree in education will get preference.

Experience Requirements:  Minimum 5 -7 years in education programme in any reputed national/ international NGOs.

Additional Job Requirements: 

  • Skill in Local and regional level advocacy initiatives;
  • Knowledge and working experience with Primary Education;
  • Good knowledge about need assessment of training and training conduction
  • Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other communication skills with typing ability in Bangla and English);
  • Adequate knowledge of IEC material development
  • Manage project independently in accordance with project proposal
  • Good written and oral communication skills in English and Bangla. Capable to prepare report both in English and Bangla
  • Knowledge of primary education system;
  • High negotiation skills with government office and other local authority
  • Ability to plan and optimum use of available resources;
  • Experience of working in foreign-funded project will be an added advantage.
  • Mandatory to drive motorcycle and have valid driving license

Salary Range: 50,000-60,000 BDT per month with 01 festival bonus and 01 gratuity.
