Manager/Assistant Manager – Talent Acquisition

Our leading European organization is recruiting for Talent Acquisition team leader at our HQ, in the heart of Dhaka. This role includes a variety of responsibilities and multi-tasking, giving you the opportunity to gain exposure and an understanding into a leading multi-national company. The incumbent will have opportunities to expand his/her skillset within the company and reach other positions and aspirations through successful demonstration of performance, ability and the desire to learn and grow.

Scope: The scope of this role is to work closely with our recruiters & functional heads to manage sourcing, interviewing and employment processes. The incumbent should have an HR academic background and experience in screening and evaluating candidates and should also be knowledgeable about labor legislation. The ideal candidate should be a team leader who is able to make effective decisions quickly. Also, to ensure we hire qualified employees to meet our company’s current and future needs. The incumbent will work closely with the HR Head to develop and implement effective recruitment and practice, policy and procedures to support the development of high performing teams.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist the HR Head in HR Planning to ensure the supply of a talented workforce in the organization through organized recruitment & selection process aligning with the business goal
  • Coordinate with functional team heads to forecast future hiring needs
  • Ensure recruitment and selection procedures and practice meet the operational needs, legislative and good practice requirements
  • Conduct Job Analysis to develop desired job descriptions and job specifications
  • Ensure that all job descriptions are in place and remain current and accurate
  • Research and choose job advertising options
  • Place advertisements on selected hosts and plan and coordinate open days
  • Conduct initial screening of CVs and conduct initial telephone interviews
  • Liaise with external recruiters if require
  • Work with HR Head to develop the recruitment process, including interview guidelines and a standard questionnaire to establish whether the expected skills and experience have been demonstrated by the applicant
  • Ensure all new employee administration is complete, filed and entered into Synergy; to include new starter paperwork, checklist, employment eligibility checks, offer letters and contracts
  • Ensure providing feedback and regrets, unsuccessful applicants
  • Ensure smooth onboarding of all new joiners following the onboarding process of the company
  • Supervise the recruiting team and report on its performance
  • Keep track of recruiting metrics (e.g. time-to-hire and cost-per-hire)
  • Advise hiring managers on interviewing techniques
  • Recommend ways to improve the employer brand
  • Stay up-to-date on labor legislation and inform recruiters and managers about changes in regulations
  • Participate in job fairs and career events
  • Build effective working relationships with universities for their career development centers to get the new fresh talents
  • Ensure an effective Management Trainee program in place
  • Build the company’s professional network through relationships with HR professionals and other partners

Educational and Experience Requirements

  • BBA/ MBA/ Masters in Human Resources Management or Organizational Psychology from any reputed University
  • 7-10 years corporate experience with 400+ head count is essential
  • 5 years of experience in managing the end to end recruitment process

Functional Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Recruiting Manager, Recruitment team leader or Recruiting Coordinator
  • Experience with (phone and in-person) interviews, candidate screening and evaluation
  • Familiarity with social media and other professional networks (like LinkedIn)
  • Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems and HR databases
