Senior Executive / Assistant Manager – CSR & Social Compliance (Re-Advertisement)

Our leading European organization is recruiting for an exciting position at our HQ, in the heart of Dhaka. This role includes a variety of responsibilities and multi-tasking, giving you the opportunity to gain exposure and an understanding into a leading multi-national company. You will be working with the company’s foundation team to develop and deliver the company’s CSR objectives as well as those of the company’s foundation.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing the company's social compliance program on a country-wide basis, with specific areas of: Develop and implement plan of action for factories/ supply base to meet and maintain social compliance standards.
  • Develop and deliver new projects and activities as part of our CSR and social compliance programmes both in-house and with our supplier factories.
  • Conduct research, come up with ideas, assist in developing policies, create detailed plans and build relationships with other organisations to build CSR & SC activities.
  • Research, prepare and track our corporate social responsibilities and those of our partner factories.
  • Conduct on going monitoring and analysis / audit of the company’s CSR projects including those being undertaken with our subcontractors and partners.
  • Ensure all new activities meet with relevant organisational and statutory policies, including health and safety, employment and equality laws.
  • Prepare documentation to advise external partners on our social policy and CSR activities.
  • Raise awareness of the company's commitment to CSR including social compliance
  • Create monthly activities review and forecast.
  • Analyse and evaluate research and interpret data.
  • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  • Assist in preparing of work plans, budgets and cost analysis to make our projects cost effective and to a high standard.
  • Organise seminars, conferences and workshops as needed.
  • Responsible for CSR and SC communication tools; intranet, website, newsletter, corporate magazine.
  • Ideally have knowledge on BSCI, WRAP, SEDEX, C-TPAT, AND ISO.
  • Must have a good understanding of CSR & SC standards and developing trends in the sector.
  • Responsible for periodical internal audits.

Educational and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor/Masters in Environmental Science/Management/Development or related fields from any reputed institution.
  • Ideally experience in corporate social responsibility, social compliance or welfare and the RMG sector.
  • Minimum 3 to 4 years’ corporate experience in relevant field.

  • Excellent computer proficiency on MS Word and MS Excel

  • Strong communication and client service skills
  • Able to interact and build rapport with a range of people at different levels
  • Highly organised, high attention to detail, completer/finisher
  • Knowledge about the planning, procurement rules and budget preparation
  • Sound knowledge in the areas of office administration
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Must possess a pleasant, friendly and proactive attitude
  • Must be able to travel within Bangladesh for work
