Programmes Officer – Social Foundation (Re-Advertisement)

Our leading European organization is recruiting for an exciting position at our HQ, in the heart of Dhaka. You will be working within the company’s foundation as a member of the team, to develop, deliver and implement monitoring and evaluation activities for social programmes across Bangladesh.

Job Responsibilities

  • Research and identify existing humanitarian programms and initiatives, in keeping with the foundation’s objectives, being delivered by NGOs, social businesses and other organisations in Bangladesh.
  • Prepare analysis, feasibility and viability studies to present potential programmes to our foundation board for collaboration and funding decisions.
  • Work with colleagues to process project proposals, from concept note to final application stage.
  • Work with colleagues to develop programmes and projects, both with implementing partners and in-house programmes.
  • Help to develop and build relationships with peer organisations and strategic partners in Bangladesh.
  • Conduct research and due diligence on prospective partners/grantees.
  • Regular field visits monitor, analyse and gather information both for reporting purposes and with donors.
  • Support grant recipients during and post funding - in their queries as well as helping to ensure their understanding of the partnership, and reporting requirements.
  • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  • Coordinate event logistics, publicity, including public relations and project materials - design, production and distribution.
  • Support colleagues in the delivery of the foundation’s strategy and annual plans.

Educational and Experience Requirements

  • Educated to Bachelor/Masters degree level, ideally in development studies/management or related fields from any reputed institution.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience of managing and delivering projects, ideally within a Foundation, NGO, Academic, International Institution or working in a Corporate Social Responsibility role for a business or in industry. 
  • Experience in delivering projects, managing budgets and reporting. Ideally, experienced in designing and delivering programmes for development.

Additional Job Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Bangla and English.
  • Excellent computer proficiency and command over MD office applications.
  • Friendly, proactive and highly motivated attitude, with a sense of team spirit.
  • A completer/finisher who is highly organised with a strong attention to detail.
  • Able to interact and build rapport with a range of people at different levels and excellent presentation skills.
