Monitoring & Evaluation Officer - Social Foundation (Re-Advertisement)

You will be working within the company’s foundation as a member of the team, to develop, deliver and implement monitoring and evaluation activities for social programmes across Bangladesh.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work with the team to identify and research social programs and initiatives by NGOs and social enterprises – preparing analysis, feasibility and viability studies to present to our board for consideration.
  • Develop and strengthen monitoring, inspection and evaluation procedures including undertaking assessments of projects using appropriate frameworks and developing appropriate indicators to track against targets, assess performance.
  • Conduct surveys, measure impact, prepare issues risk logs, document lessons-learned, and produce timely, accurate and complete reports.
  • Undertake field research to gather information, analyse projects and assess KPIs for overall success of projects.
  • Evaluate the impact and sustainability of the projects’ results.
  • Provide feedback and suggest strategies to the team on project strategies and activities for improving efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support grant recipients to ensure understanding of monitoring and evaluation requirements as well as submission of monitoring documentation within agreed timescales.
  • Undertake research and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports with baseline, ongoing and end data.
  • Assist in the development, delivery and evaluation of activities for our CSR activities.

Educational and Experience Requirements

  • Educated to Bachelor/Masters degree level, ideally in research, statistics, development studies or related fields from any reputed institution.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience of M&E for projects, ideally within a Foundation, NGO, Academic, Government, International Institution or working in a Corporate Social Responsibility role for a business or in industry. 
  • Experience in developing monitoring and evaluation plans and frameworks for new and existing projects ideally within development, including logic framework, theory of change, cost benefit and impact measurement.

Additional Job Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Bangla and English.
  • Excellent computer proficiency and command over MD office applications.
  • Friendly, proactive and highly motivated attitude, with a sense of team spirit.
  • A completer/finisher who is highly organised with a strong attention to detail.
  • Able to interact and build rapport with a range of people at different levels and excellent presentation skills.
