Business Development Merchandiser

Job Responsibilities
- Preparation of Costing in all product categories in liaison with factory
- Co-ordinating with factories for proto developments and submit to customer with in the time line
- Creating data base of each customer in MIS and closely follow up with action plans
- Research and identiry new market opporunties through various sites
- Foster a collaborative environment with in the organization
- Prepare and deliver pitches to potential investors
- Maintain fruitful relationship with customer and there needs effectively
- Work with senior team member to identify and manage risks
- An eye for the innovative products finding innovative and creative new approaches to business is helpful in being able to lure in customers
- Ability to analyse the competitive price from different factories
- Study enquiry received with senior team members
- Study tech packs thoroughly and understand what customer needs and requirements
- Follow-up for development samples, artwork approvals, fabric approvals etc
- Prepare Pre-costing sheets with all the necessary breakdowns from factories
- Ensure smooth communications with customers and suppliers on day to day developments and tasks assigned
- To work with the fabric mills and suppliers ahead of design packs to develop new fabrics and finishes to reduce lead time
- Provide monthly intelligence report to the business on actual and potential rises and falls in current cost factors
- Visit factories regularly to get market intelligence
Experience & Educational Requirements
- Should have work experience in Knits/Wovens for minimum 5 years (Including factory experience)
- Should have sound knowledge of Knit fabric (For knit candidate) and woven fabric (For woven candidate)
- Should have practical knowledge about the fabrics, trims and submission procedure
- Should be professionally qualified from any reputed institute (BIFT / B.Sc Textiles or Pearl Fashion Academy Bangladesh)
Technical Job Requirements
- Should be able to handle MIS entries
- The candidate should be technically sound in Garments costing & manufacturing process
- Must be capable to handle buyers independently in tremendous pressure with aggressive marketing attitude
- Must have skills in examining and establishing proper merchandising operations and procedures
- Good understanding of core business aspects
- Should have ideas about effective communication for raw materials, booking and delivery

- Should be well-groomed, smart and energetic
- Strong presentation and delivery skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, aiming for perfection
- Excellent written and verbal communication both in Bangla and English
- IT proficiency - advance level skill is a MUST in MS Office package (Specially, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook)
- Should be proactive and dynamic, ability to work hard efficiently
- Ability to multi task and remain organized, meet deadlines
