Social Foundation Manager

Job Purpose

The incumbent will be working within the company’s foundation as a team manager to develop and deliver social programms across Bangladesh.

Job Responsibilities

Programme Delivery:

  • Responsible for the delivery of high-quality and effective programs - with implementing partners - that drive impact. Including, managing the delivery of a portfolio of projects, analysing project progress and performance, and resolving any issues as they arise.
  • Providing management support for the development, planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of all program activities.
  • Responsible for delivering and implementing the Foundation’s action plan and strategy.
  • Ensure that all projects are well documented as per Board and donor requirements.
  • Identify and build partnerships as needed to support program implementation.
  • Ensure all reports for management, donors and others are of high quality.
  • Help to ensure a holistic approach to day-to-day activities and for projects to be as successful as possible, including sharing learnings internally and externally.
  • Taking initiative to come up with ideas, develop policies, create detailed plans and build relationships to help progress the work of the Foundation.
  • Define and develop the strategies which reinforce company's existing CSR objectives and future goals and partnerships with other entities
  • Maintain and build strong key relationships inside and outside the company, including with government bodies, consumer, businesses, NGO and forums.
  • Implement and coordinate a range of activities and initiatives designed to have a positive impact on the environment and local communities.

Operations management:

  • Build and manage the in-house team, including but not limited to staffing, recruitment, supervision, training and acknowledgement.
  • Maintain good lines of communication with the foundation Board of Trustees
  • Conduct supervision, monitoring and reporting of the tasks to ensure accountability and quality of deliverables.
  • Preparation of work plans, budgets and cost analysis to help ensure cost effectiveness in our operations and programme delivery.
  • Design and organise internal and external seminars, conferences and workshops.
  • Raise awareness of the company's commitment to CSR, including but not limited to generating internal and external promotion of our activities, including liaising with press & media.
  • Responsible for the Foundations communication tools; intranet, website, newsletter, corporate magazine.

Experience and Educational Requirements

  • Minimum 5 to 8 years’ experience within a Foundation, NGO, International Institution or working in a Corporate Social Responsibility role for a business or in industry.  
  • Educated to Bachelor/Masters degree level, ideally in development studies/management or a related field, from any reputed institution.
  • Experience in dealing with senior members of the government, media and press.
  • Experience in building, managing and leading teams. As well as managing budgets and reporting. Ideally, experienced in designing and delivering programmes for development.
  • Ideally fluent in both written and verbal communication both in Bangla and English

  • Should be proactive and dynamic, ability to work hard efficiently
  • Ability to multi task and remain organized, meet deadlines
  • Understanding of wider business areas – Strategy, HR, Finance, Innovation etc.
  • An interest in vision & leadership development and creating new opportunities for society
