This is a 5-years project funded by “The Australian NGO Cooperation Program (ANCP)”. Project title is “Nutrition Sensitive Value Chains for Smallholder Farmers” (NSVC Project). This project aims to improve nutrition of 35,000 smallholder male and female farmers and their households (HHs) in Jamalpur district through adopting a nutrition sensitive agriculture (NSA) approach, it aims to improve nutrition through multiple pathways.

  • Support and maintain internal and external communications with project stakeholders, implementing organization, service providers and assist to execute the communications strategy, maintain project documentation and local level advocacy.
  • Provide technical support in the project and work to promote approaches using participatory, evidencebased approaches to design communications work plan, to ensure necessary communication, documentation including video documentary and materials development for the project.
  • Provide strategic and technical leadership in order to supporting the achievements and delivery of project, partner, and regional and national level communications objectives by using different media.
  • Lead documentation and publications such as project brochure, newsletter, fact sheet, case studies, MSC writing, brief documents, reports, program implementation guidelines and video documentary for showcase of NSVC project.
  • Generate innovative ideas, dissemination and initiate evidence based advocacy.
  • Develop and maintain networking with different stakeholders including GO, NGOs, local and national media, as appropriate for promoting NSVC project activities.
  • Contribute to prepare different reporting and ensure communication related report as required.
  • Ensure proper documentation for influencing efforts and positive brand awareness and identify advocacy agenda from the project learning are to promote Nutrition Sensitive Value Chains for Smallholder Farmers Project and World Vision communication and advocacy priorities.
  • Maintain strong relationships with social media, electric media, and print media outlets of country media chain and decision makers to enhance organizational visibility and maintain relationships.
  • Under the guidance of the NSVC Project Manager, the Technical Specialist-CDA will lead the development and implementation of an integrated communications strategy and annual operating plan aligned to project and organizational priorities.
  • Build and manage a high-performance communications function that is structured, focused for productive and quality work regarding communication, documentation and advocacy.
  • Lead to develop and evaluate feasibility, efficiency and quality of SBCC materials.
  • Assist in coordinating communication activities and events of the project and partners.
  • Support to take preparation for donor visits for showcasing project progress and achievements.
  • Ensure case studies and relevant project documents and suggest recommendations on diverse issues (as and when required).
  • Experience at least 5 years.
  • Age at least 28 years.
  • Education: Master Degree in Communications / Journalism / Development Studies or relevant subjects of social science from reputed university.
  • The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): Project Coordinator/ Officer, Research, Communication/ Public Relation/ Media, Manual Development/ Documentation, Advocacy.
  • Advanced understanding of Communication and Documentation system.
  • At least 5 years of demonstrated experience working as a professional communicator including substantive work on development and humanitarian issues affecting children and families.
  • Effective Communications skills including reporting, photography, publications, media relations.
  • Strong organizational, communicational, advocacy and documentation skills.
  • 8 years experience in the humanitarian and development fields with at least 5 years of experience in communication, documentations and advocacy.
  • Managing multiple deadlines.
  • 40% field visit.
