Terms of Reference: Videographer for Short Documentary

Background:

Water.org is an international non-profit organization that seeks to improve the lives of people at the bottom-of-the-pyramid through interventions in water and sanitation financing. While the output of our interventions is aimed at creating greater access to safe water and sanitation facilities, we believe in sustaining those interventions via market-based approaches. Thus far, our work in Bangladesh involves six (06) leading microfinance institutions (MFIs), which are implementing a program called WaterCredit all across the country.

Objective:

In order to showcase the successes of our interventions as well as challenges therein, it is important to use audio visual material that can communicate the work we have done so far to stakeholders locally and internationally.

Water.org Bangladesh seeks to recruit a videographer with prior experience in filming and editing short documentaries. We wish to produce a documentary video.

Scope of Work & Output:

The documentary will have testimonials from beneficiaries (people we serve); short clips of interviews of field-level officers at the microfinance institutions we partner with; and interviews with experts in both Water and Sanitation sector as well as other relevant stakeholders.

Travel will be required to partner offices in Dhaka, and field offices near Dhaka in areas such as Savar, Manikgonj, and Nababganj.

The output desired is a short documentary about 8-10 minutes in length with English subtitles.

Timeframe: The timeframe for this assignment is 45 days.

Remuneration: The remuneration for this assignment will be competitive and will be based on the experience of the videographer.

Application Pre-requisites:

All interested candidates are required to have either a degree in visual arts and/or communications OR significant work experience in filming videos. Candidates with prior experience in producing short films in the development sector will be given prioritization.
