Ulashi Sreejony Sangha (USS), Jessore is inviting applications from qualified candidates to the following vacant position under Climate Resilience Agriculture project at Jessore Sadar, Jhikorgacha and Monirampur in Jessore distrtict and Dacope upazila in Khulna district funded by UKAID and CAFOD, UK. Mentioned position will be recruited under the project. The project period is up to June 2018.

Job Responsibilities:

  • To reach the goal of the project and sound implementation of it with maintaining the stream in the project activities.
  • Considering project activities prepare and submit work plan and progress report on weekly, monthly and quarterly and annually to project coordinator in time. 
  • To maintain communication and coordination with Union Parishad and other stakeholders on regular basis.
  • To facilitate project orientation among beneficiaries at Union level.
  • To conduct training/support for influencing UDMC for implementation of Standing Orders on Disaster (SOD).
  • To organize and conduct linkage workshop/meeting with UDMC & community 
  • To assist project launching and phase off workshop with external stakeholder’s e.g govt. officials, local elected bodies, civil society organization, and community elites at District & sub-district level.
  • To conduct capacity building training to flower cultivator, businessman, value chain actors, multi crop farmer, vermi compost farmer, unseasonal crop producer, vegetable cultivator on floating bed, salt tolerant crop cultivator
  • To provide input support (construction/re-excavation of pond/water reservoir) for rain water harvesting to irrigation, (construction of floating bed) to vegetables cultivator on floating bed,  (salt tolerant seed, seedling) to salt tolerant crop cultivator, rain water harvesting/water tank for drinking water, (seed, seedling & vermi compost) to multi crop farmer,(Seed, vermi compost, & seedling) to unseasonal crop producer, (earth worm) to vermi compost farmer, (seed, flower cartoon, flower top) to flower cultivator, (Plastic Drum/container for food preservation),
  • To work closely with other MFIII partners working in the same area and ensure beneficiaries participation with partners activities.
  • Collect case study/good practices and submit them to Project Coordinator literally.
  • Interest to work with poor and vulnerable community in remote areas and willingness to drive bi-cycle.

Educational Requirements: Bachelor degree

Experience Requirements: Minimum 02 years working experience in agriculture, climate change, DRR project.

Project period: Till June 2018

Salary:  14310 BDT/month

Travel: 3276 BDT/month

Other benefits: As per USS policy. No separate festival bonus. Festival bonus included in monthly salary.

Mobile Bill: 500 BDT/month.
