With the approval already obtained from the Government (BTEB), UCEP is establishing a Polytechnic Institute at Mirpur, Dhaka, which shall offer diploma in engineering program. UCEP Bangladesh, in addition to being a premier offerer of technical and vocational education producing annually about 13,000 technical graduates, runs a SSC (vocational) program with outstanding results. In moving further towards higher levels of technical education, UCEP dreams of an outstanding Polytechnic Institute of enviable excellence and is looking for a leader who would  welcome the challenge of  materializing the dream and be willing to take the charge of:
Principal

Key responsibilities:

  1. Providing leadership in setting up of the Institute, managing its educational program and related activities as per BTEB and UCEP guidelines;
  2. Producing quality results -- striving, collectively as a team with faculty members and instructors,  at achieving the highest possible academic and learning excellence in public examinations and marketing it for fuller and expanded capacity;
  3. Planning and guiding the Institute towards earliest possible self-sustenance and surplus for further development and expansion of the Institute and UCEP; 
  4. Maintaining electronic EMIS and FMIS in coordination with UCEP program and finance departments for transparency and updatedness,
  5. Supervising faculty and instructional staff, assessing their performance and taking step for their development,
  6. Taking guidance from the management Committee and keeping it periodically updated, and be in supervision and in coordination with UCEP Director, Program.  
  7. Taking Initiative in any other relevant tasks needed, as  emerges and anticipated, in effectively running of the Institute.

Key requirements:

  1. MSc  in Electrical/Civil/Mechanical Engineering or  Technical Education  with excellent academic records;
  2. Minimum 11 years of academic experience out of a minimum of 5 years academic leadership/ management position. 
  3. Well conversant on TVET policy, and capability of analyzing current and future requirements in technical manpower in different fields and training needs;
  4. Must have a  strong commitment for a long term career in academic line;
  5. Good communication skills, both spoken and written, in Bangla and English.
  6. Willing to go through UCEP’s rigorous recruitment process.
Salary & benefits:   As per policy of the organization     
Chief Instructors-3 positions (Electrical/Civil/Mechanical)

Key responsibilities:

  1. Conduct academic activities -- taking classes, examination, conduct lab activities and undertake other co-curricula activities with and for the students.
  2. Supervise instructors and regularly monitor for ensuring teaching-learning processes in line with the need for achieving academic excellence
  3. Assist the principal on various academic and administrative activities.
  4. Be a responsible team member and an inseparable part of result-oriented performance in all aspects of management in efficiently running the Institute.

Key requirements:

  1. MSc in Engineering /MSc in Technical Education in relevant subject with at least 5 years of experience, preferably in educational/training institute, and with excellent academic records.
  2. Good command in communication skills, spoken and written, in Bangla and English.
  3. Willing to go through rigorous recruitment process.
