Job Purpose: To contribute to develop and ensure proper knowledge management within UCEP Bangladesh and its other entities (UTI, UIST, USC etc.) through Research, Innovations and Technology in line with UCEP Bangladesh’s values, vision, mission, goals and relevant country laws.

Job Location: Head Office, Dhaka

Responsibilities:

• To contribute implementing UCEP Bangladesh’s values, vision, mission and goals, and development of future strategy documents as needed.
• To assist in appropriate knowledge management of UCEP Bangladesh’s programmes in line with organizational vision, mission, values and goals.
• To contribute to orient and develop the capacity of relevant staff at central and regional level on research methodologies and knowledge management.
• To assist introducing necessary technology based tools for research and development and develop capacity of relevant staff in this regard.
• To contribute to develop systems for Big Data Management including acquisition, data analysis, data quality assessments and reporting for development of key organizational and programmatic documents (e.g. Annual Report, Monthly Monitoring Report, Budgets, Project Documents, Donor Reports, Case Studies, UCEP Bangladesh’s websites, social media, e-newsletter etc.).
• To assist to develop and efficiently manage departmental budget.
• To continuously upgrade Research and Development processes with tech-based solutions.
• To assist in conducting systematic surveys including baseline, midline and end line surveys, process monitoring, impact evaluations (internal and external), longitudinal studies etc. in collaboration with Programmes Department. 
• To assist in carrying out systematic interventions for ensuring appropriate dissemination of program generated learning internally and externally (nationally and internationally) among relevant stakeholders.
• To identify strategic and critical areas for research and development; ensure conduct of research and timely dissemination; and develop necessary capacity of staff at central and regional level.
• To maintain necessary network at national and international level for tech-based solutions for Research, Development and knowledge management.
• To visit all programs of UCEP Bangladesh and its other entities (UTI, UIST, USC etc.) as required.
• To coordinate with other departments and Regional Management Team for timely conduct of researches and share feedback.
• To represent UCEP Bangladesh in different national and international forum under the guidance of supervisor.
• To maintain strict confidentiality of information, documents and other internal and external communications.
• To carry out any other relevant tasks assigned by the UCEP authority as and when necessary.

Essential Requirements:

• Masters in Statistics/ Economics/ Development Economics/ Development Studies/ Anthropology/ Sociology.
• 2 years of relevant professional experience in junior level data management role in Research and Development in a large organization. 
• Excellent command of communication skills both in Bangla and English.
• Excellent computer operating skill & conversant with MS Office package, and trained in SPSS other research related latest software and data analysis tools etc.
• Demonstrated experience in research and data analysis for a large organization, particularly using tech-based solutions.
• Self-motivated, adaptable and team player.
• Ability and willingness to travel frequently.
• Age limit for the applicant would be 30 years. Management has the right to make exceptions based on qualifications.
