The role of Relationship manager involves to know their clients and their business needs by building and maintaining ongoing relationships. The range and scope of his work would range from helping clients with their account details to giving advice on financial investments.  He/she needs to cater to individual clients while trying to generate new business and clients for the bank. A Relationship Manager is also  expected to identify possible sales opportunities and generate new business for the bank.

Job Description/Responsibility:

  • Achieving assigned business (in terms of No. of clients and volume) target through new acquisition, growing and retaining existing profitable Commercial Banking customers
  • Making regular visits to acquire new Customers with the lead generated by the Branch Managers/Business Heads and own sources
  • Be primarily responsible for commercial client services and work closely as a team with the Branch Managers (BM), other RMs, SRMs and Credit Analyst (CA).
  • Initiation of new relationship booking activities such as preparation of Memorandum/CRG/FSS etc. by engaging with client and Underwriting team.
  • Work with the Team on a specified portfolio and jointly collaborate for the revenue augmentation.
  • Tie up with other segments of the Bank (Employee Banking/Credit Cards/Cash Products etc.) to offer all-inclusive banking solutions to the Commercial Customers.
  • Keep abreast with the trend of the preferred Business/Industries as per Credit Committee of the Bank and put highest endeavor to book business
  • To monitor credit quality by highlighting early warning signs of credit deterioration of new cases in the early stage of the Relationship

Application requirements:

  • Masters/ MBA preferably in Finance, Management, Marketing or Economics from reputed University
  • Having 4 years or above Banking and portfolio Management experience for the post of RM. An Ideal SRM candidate is expected to have 7 years of Commercial Banking experience with Trade Finance handling capabilities
  • Credit Analysts with strong Commercial Business Financing knowledge can apply to check for the fitment test
