Job Responsibilities

• Independently handle the complete product development process.
• Trend research, fashion forecast, monitor market developments and competitors’ activities.
• Make own Concept / Mood Boards based on research and submit to global design team on regular basis.
• Create own sketches/style sheets for product developments.
• Handle the complete presentations during trips to headquarters or Design Team visits to Bangladesh.
• Execute the Developments with suppliers smoothly and efficiently due to quick fashion seasons.
• Do the feasibility analysis and risk assessment of a product based on factory strength and capability.
• Support Merchandising Teams with strong sourcing abilities of new yarns, technology, washing techniques & trims for new developments and samples.
• Visit trade fairs, mills, garment vendors, stores and markets to collect info on trends, designs, washes, colors, special effects etc.
• Other day to day duties as and when required.

Job Nature: Full-time

Job Location: Dhaka, with travel requirements to overseas and in country

Educational Requirements

• B. Sc. or Diploma in Fashion Design or Product Development from any reputed University
• Any professional course/ diploma in similar profession will be an added advantage
• Must have good knowledge of computer Design applications including Adobe Suite

Job Related Experience Requirement

• Minimum 3-4 years of experience as PD or Designer in Flat Knit in any apparel brand/ retailer/ buying office or renowned factory.
• Must have knowledge on design trends, innovations, market intelligence etc.
• Strong knowledge of Yarn, Flat Knit trends, development of styles, washes & interpretations for Fast Fashion European market is a must.
