Job Responsibilities

• Establish and enhance long-term business relationships with buyers through excellent customer service to optimize business growth.
• Forecast sourcing budget, Capacity planning with vendors, analyze order placements and ensure consistent growth of business for the department.
• Develop right vendor matrix for the business.
• Do market research, introduce new product categories, exclusive vendors to support sustainable business growth.
• Offer best prices to the buyer with right quality, quantity and with right vendors.
• Be aware of risk factors that may arise time to time and impact the production, suggest alternative solutions to ensure to on time shipment without incurring additional cost.
• Set targets for the team and ensure performance KPIs are met efficiently.
• Follow up with vendors, suppliers and coordinate among cross functional teams for handling the order execution smoothly.
• Always response quickly with appropriate feedback and resolve issues quickly with alternative options if required.
• Visit vendors regularly to ensure production TNA is maintained strictly.
• Ensure smooth execution to maintain on time delivery with right quality and quantity.
• Other day to day duties as and when required.

Job Nature: Full-time

Job Location: Dhaka, with travel requirements to overseas and in country

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Clothing or Textile any discipline from any reputed university.
• Candidates having a degree/ diploma on Clothing or Textiles from any reputed university will be preferred.

Job Related Experience Requirement

• Minimum 12 years of experience in merchandising in Woven in any apparel brand/ retailer/ buying office.
• Strong knowledge of end to end supply chain of apparel industry including Product Development, Costing and Production Management of Denim and Non Denim products.
• Must have sound knowledge on Jackets, Outerwear and Blazers etc.
• Must have in depth knowledge on market trends, retail outlook, market intelligence/ Industry movements in major production countries etc.
• Strong leadership skill to lead and guide a team of 15-20 staffs towards the goal set by the company.
• Dynamic customer service and problem solving skills along with vendor management capability is a must.
