Costing Engineer/ Manager

Responsibilities:

Your primary responsibilities will be to -

  • Reduce garment cost by using industrial engineering tools & GSD
  • Conduct cost-effective analysis in the sample development stage
  • Coordinate with suppliers & Hub commercial team to work on saving SMV
  • Work closely with Hub commercial team to save the garment costing
  • Train the factory mid-level management on cost saving
  • Find out the causes & remedies of manufacturing wastes
  • Ability to look at fabric utilization/ construction of garment on risk assessment of product prior to sample
  • Generate various types of reports for line manager & senior people on cost saving

Requirements:

  • 8 to 10 years of working experience in the factory environment conducting cost saving exercise by using GSD and method study
  • Industrial/ Costing Engineering background preferred
  • Candidate must have GSD certification
  • Having knowledge on lean manufacturing system and product costing
  • Knowledge of garment construction and manufacturing across all categories
  • Ability to work across woven, jersey and true knit
  • Good command over written and spoken English and local language
  • Excellent data management skills and interest in fashion & trends
  • Self-motivated; good communication and interpersonal skills; negotiation and decision making skills
  • Computer literate; proficient in MS Office
