Training Manager
Terre des Hommes-Netherlands (TdH-NL) with supports from the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Dhaka is implementing the project IMAGE (Initiatives for Married Adolescent Girls’ Empowerment) aims to ensure a life with dignity for early married girls in Bangladesh by improving their sexual reproductive health and rights over a period of two years - December 2014 to November 2016. A team of technical experts at the Project Management Unit (PMU) in Dhaka will support implementation of the project to achieve its objective of improving the sexual and reproductive health and rights of 4,500 early-married girls in three northern districts of Bangladesh — Gaibandha, Kurigram and Nilphamari.

Currently, IMAGE has a vacancy for the position Training Manager to work closely with Training & Capacity Building Specialist in identifying, management and delivery of trainings to meet the IMAGE training and capacity building objectives at the community and partner organizations level. Competent and confident incumbent who is interested to take challenges of following responsibilities are invited to apply:

Responsibilities:

  • Organize, coordinate and conduct training needs assessment of targeted beneficiaries and stakeholders.
  • Organize, coordinate and contribute to training materials and module development.
  • Develop training plan and ensure implementation of trainings for target beneficiaries and stakeholders.
  • Document/monitor results and impact of training and capacity building activities.
  • Explore opportunities for reaching a wider audience through using ICT and other technology.

Experiences & Competencies:

  • At least 4 years of relevant experience of training management in development organizations of which one year should be on SRHR and/or gender & women empowerment.
  • An advanced degree (Masters or equivalent) in any subject; Social Science/Public Health/Development Studies or similar field with focus on SRHR and sexuality will be preferred.
  • Proven competency and understanding on training methods and tools; possession of a Training of Trainers certificate would be an added advantage.
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills, and the ability to communicate sensitive/complicated issues with wide ranges of stakeholders. 
  • Understanding on Right-based development approach.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Highly proficient in using ICT.
