Terre des hommes Foundation is an International Voluntary Organization working in Bangladesh since 1974 and its work focused on Health, Nutrition and Child Relief. The Organization is considering interventions in WASH, Child Protection, and Health at Cox’s Bazar among the displaced people from Myanmar and looking to hire the above positons to be filled in initially for 2 months with hope to expand for further period subject to Govt. approval. The position is based at Cox’s Bazar and around.

 

Terms of Reference

  • To coordinate the implementation of activities in the Community Center or CFS or Mobile Unit;
  • To ensure the application of child protection standards during the activities;
  • To coordinate the planning of PSS activities in collaboration with the Coordinator;
  • To coach/support the PSS Workers on weekly basis in order to adapt the PSS activities to the beneficiaries’ needs in collaboration with the CP Coordinator;
  • To perform regular assessment on the quality and the content of the intervention;
  • To provide necessary technical support to enhance and sustain the quality of the services provided under the supervision of the CP Coordinator;
  • To refer beneficiaries with special needs, and follow up the referred cases' conditions in collaboration with the Protection Assistant and coordinator;
  • To monitor protection risks and needs and identifying protection cases;
  • Reports to the PM/CP Coordinator on regular basis on both technical and organizational level;
  • To ensure appropriate monitoring and evaluation systems are in place, support staff in all monitoring processes;
  • To collect the daily reports of the PSS Worker;
  • To provide monthly and weekly reports on progress of activities in the center;
  • To closely coordinate with the CP Coordinator to ensure effective delivery of age-appropriate activities;
  • To organize weekly meetings with Animators and Volunteers, to share lessons learned and exchange experiences;
  • Ensure the collection of quantitative/qualitative data;
  • Any other task relevant to the position.

Required skills and qualifications:
Educational Requirements:

  • Masters in Social Welfare/ Science, Psychology or any other relevant study

Experience Requirements

  • At least- 4 years experience in the similar job with INGO with at least 2 years in leading team.

  • Management skills particularly managing children programs and activities.

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Need to have strong leadership skill

  • Ability to adopt to changes

  • Excellent language skills both English, Bengali and Chittagong local

  • Knowledge of risk assessments; counselling skills, child abuse standards, child welfare legislation and regulations;

  • Ability to work as an integral member of a team and work with little or no supervision as may be required;

  • Ability to follow direction and work effectively under pressure;

  • Ability to collaborate with other resource persons and facilitate planning and action;

  • Good interpersonal, written and oral communication skills;

  • Well aware of Child rights and Convention
