RECRUITMENT ANNOUNCEMENT

Terre des hommes Foundation is an International Voluntary Organization working in Bangladesh since 1974 and its work focused on Health, Nutrition and Child Relief. The Organization is considering interventions in WASH, Child Protection, and Health at Cox’s Bazar among the displaced people from Myanmar and looking to hire the above positons to be filled in initially for 2 months with hope to expand for further period subject to Govt. approval. The position is based at Cox’s Bazar and around.

Terms of Reference

• To design Psychological Support Service and CP activities targeting children, adolescents and their caregivers.
• To develop a detailed monthly activity plan, indicating specifically the aim and the objectives of the activities to closely monitor results achieved with the beneficiaries of the age group mention above.
• To be in charge of developing, delivering and monitoring outdoor and indoor recreational activities.
• To carry out PSS activities using specific methodologies to support the beneficiaries’ resilience and needs.
• To report daily to the TL the activities conducted.
• To keep the balance between social, mental and physical activities for children and adolescents.
• To plan the activity in order to ensure progressive steps from easier to more difficult activities.
• To ensure that the beneficiaries have the possibility to participate in designing the activity, to express themselves and to be heard.
• In dealing with difficult behaviours (conflict, aggressiveness, introversion), to understand the reason behind the behaviour and to try as much as possible to involve the others participants as a resource to solve the problem.
• To monitor child progresses, identify children in need and refer special cases to the protection assistant and the psychologists as soon as identified.
• To identify children in needs of specific services and to report to the TL.
• To plan and request the material needed for the activities to the TL.
• To be responsible for the proper use and basic maintenance of the animation material and Static/Mobile Unit facility.
• To participate in the trainings provided by Tdh or other partner Organization.
• To participate in the weekly coordination meetings.
• To comply with the Tdh Code of Conduct.
• Any other task relevant to the position

Required skills and qualifications:
Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor Social work, Psychology, Social Science or any other relevant study
• Teacher training will be an added value

Experience Requirements

• At least 3 – 4 years’ experience in child protection, security with INGO.

• Experience in counselling, social work with children

• Good communication skills

• Ability to adopt to changes

• Excellent language skills both English, Bengali and Rohingya and/or Chittagong local languages
