Terre des hommes Foundation is an International Voluntary Organization working in Bangladesh since 1974 and its work focused on Health, Nutrition and Child Relief. The Organization is considering interventions in WASH, Child Protection, and Health at Cox’s Bazar among the displaced people from Myanmar and looking to hire above positons to be filled in initially for 2 months with hope to expand for further period subject to Govt. approval. The position is based at Cox’s Bazar and around.

 

Terms of Reference

  • Monitor protection risks and needs and identifying protection cases;
  • Schedule and conduct ongoing interactions with foster families, children, care workers and families involved in ongoing cases
  • Receiving and reviewing referrals for service to determine eligibility
  • Assessing nature of referral/request and identifying immediacy of intervention required
  • Gathering thorough information and conducting an assessment of the immediate safety of the children at the point of first contact
  • Coordinate with sources of service referrals/follow and record detailed intake information
  • To support the TL in coordinating outreach activities in each of the areas covered by the project;
  • To plan and organize assessment of needs and outreach activities under the supervision of the Team leader and CP Coordinator;
  • To organize regular awareness and information activities in collaboration with specialized NGOs in collaboration with the TL;
  • To identify beneficiaries with special needs;
  • To refer beneficiaries with special needs to specialized NGOs according to predefined referral pathways after the approval of the Team Leader;
  • To participate to the weekly meetings with Tdh Staff, to share lessons learned and exchange experiences;
  • To ensure proper documentation of data collected (hard and soft copies);
  • To write weekly reports in collaboration with the Team Leader;
  • To share information on field-level successes and challenges with the project team
  • To comply with the Tdh Code of Conduct
  • Any other duties relating to the nature of the job as directed by the PM, CP Coordinator and TL

Required skills and qualifications:
Educational Requirements:

Bachelor in Social Welfare, Social Science, Psychology or any other relevant study

Experience Requirements

  • At least 2 -3 years’ experience in childcare work with INGO.
  • Ability to adopt to changes
  • Excellent language skills both Bengali, Rohingya and Chittagong local dialects
  • Experience in the field of social work, child development, and/or child protection matters within family and community environments and an understanding of disadvantaged groups
