Medical Technologist (Lab)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with Team Leader, field co-ordinator and NTRL.
  • Collection, preserve of sputum specimen from the respondent of respective cluster as per requirement.
  • Packing and transport of collected samples to National Tuberculosis Research Laboratory (NTRL).
  • Must follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in every step of labelling, sample collection, sample preservation, transportation and record keeping. 
  • Prepare slides in the field setting (if required).
  • Willing to travel to any part of Bangladesh (to the cluster sites).
  • Perform sputum microscopy.
  • Perform Xpert MTB/RIF.
  • Perform other duties or tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.

Educational Requirements:

  • Diploma in Medical Technology (Lab.) from a recognized Medical College/ institute. Basic training on AFB microscopy will be an added advantage.

Experience Requirements: At least 5 year(s)

Additional Job Requirements:

  • This is a contractual position for 13 months.
  • Age Below or equal to 45 year(s)
  • Basic Computer skills in Office 2007 or more
  • At least five years of experience in relevant field
  • Good background knowledge on microscopy of tuberculosis
  • Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English and Bengali

Salary Range: TK. 40000

Job Level: Entry Level Job.
