  • Manage all aspects of database administration including setup, installations, security, backup and recovery, space management, performance tuning, schema management and capacity planning for Oracle 11g/12c.
  • Monitor the Database in Production, Development and client environments.
  • Support Application teams and their projects to enhance, troubleshoot and performance tune while exploring SQL programming for query performance improvements
  • Support Oracle Databases in Production, Test and Development environments
  • Database Backup & Recovery (including RMAN).

  • B.Sc in Computer Science / Engineering


  • 2 year of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA, working directly with Oracle 10g/11g
  • 3 years of hands-on experience working with Oracle
  • OCP Certification is a plus point.
  • Experience working with Oracle 12c is preferred
  • Strong SQL and UNIX scripting skills
  • Oracle RDBMS concepts and fundamentals
  • Oracle RMAN Backup and Recovery techniques
  • Experience with Linux / Unix
  • Familiar in business analysis and database design.
  • Proficient in planning and management of scope of work and time estimation.
  • Strong problem solving skills and strong desire to learn new technologies.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and accountable for actions
  • Good to have working knowledge of Database concepts and experiences in different Databases including but not limited to Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, etc.
  • Should have understanding and experience of database backup and recovery schemes/models.
  • Capable to work in High Availability, Multi ‐ Plat formed and Very Large Databases (VLDBs).
  • Good understanding of risks involved with running queries/commands on production systems.
  • Capability to work with programmers and developers in team
  • Ability to work under pressure.
