Brief Description of Assignment
Network Specialist: 1 Person

Network Specialist:
1. Maintain LAN with Switches, Routers and Firewalls including their installation and configuration
2. Configure, troubleshoot and maintain DNS, proxy, Gateway and Load Balancer & other Platforms
3. Ensure Internet Connectivity & Intranet Radio Network of Survey of Bangladesh
4. Troubleshooting hardware and network related problems, attend IT Helpdesk and initiate resolution
5. Ensure technical support to PC users & installation or configuration of software and hardware
6.  Ensure smooth operation of Computer & Network System
7.  Set out and implement operational and technical policies to perform disaster recovery from failure
8. Plans, designs, develops, and implements methodologies for VPN, VLAN, VoIP & Bandwidth controller

Qualification & Experience of Network Specialist:

Qualification: Minimum B.Sc in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) or related discipline & Professional certification MCSE/CCNA/Redhat etc.

Experience:
1. Experience in developing and using drive imaging technologies, Network and client based antivirus protection strategies, and robust automated backup solutions.
2. Strong understanding of TCP/IP
3. Familiar with any enterprise grade Backup software; experience with Backup Exec is a plus
4. Very good orientation with mid ranged Routers
5. Familiar with Optical Fiber based LAN deployment
6. Experience with any enterprise grade Network and SCSI Devices.
7. Good knowledge base on Data center /NOC Standards and practices.
16 Other Details a. The consultant should have minimum 3 (three) years recent working experience in related field.
b. The consultant should be well convergent in IT sector.
c. The consultant must have the capability of imparting training to the SOB technicians in the relevant field.
d. EOI is to be submitted by individual consultant with a forwarding letter.
e. The EOI must be duly signed and dated on every page.
f. The individual consultant must have postal address, e-mail and contact number.
g. The services are likely to commence on 1st July 2017.
h. Interested applicants are requested to submit their expression of interest with supporting documents.

20 The Expression of interest (EOI) in four sets (one Original + Three Duplicate) must be submitted in sealed envelope, delivered to Project Manager, SDCC Project, Survey of Bangladesh, Tejgaon, Dhaka-1208 by 12 June 2017 at 2:00 pm and clearly marked “Request for Expression of Interest.” The consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedure of PPA-2006 and PPR-2008 issued by the government of Bangladesh
21 Application: Standard Request for Application (SRFA) is Available in Project Manager’s Office (free of cost).
22 The procuring entity reserves the right to accept or reject any or all EOI’s.
