We are working in different locations in Cox’s Bazar, providing vital services to displaced Rohingya peoples, including distributing the food, shelter, water & sanitation, education, health, nutrition, and child protection needs of the Rohingya refugees, particularly of the children.

Psychosocial Supervisor

Responsibilities: The Psychosocial Supervisor will supervise Psychosocial Focal Points in Child Protection, Health, and Nutrition Programmes in various locations and is responsible for technical quality of the work as well as ensuring team work, sharing and learning across locations:

  • Give technical support and guidance on mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) to a group of Psychosocial Focal Points placed in different locations (health clinics or within child protection teams)
  • Plan activities and support Psychosocial Focal Points with implementation
  • Ensure consistency in the psychosocial work across different locations, initiate and lead meetings for sharing and learning and continuous improvement of activities
  • Individual supervision and guidance of Psychosocial Focal Points
  • Collaborate with key staff in all sectors (particularly child protection, health and nutrition) to facilitate smooth integration of mental health and psychosocial support in Save the Children’s programmes
  • Develop and maintain links with other MHPSS actors, supervise and support a well-functioning MHPSS referral system
  • Ensure that the MHPSS activities build on community strengths and actively involve and consult with community members in planning, delivery and evaluation of activities
  • Develop and adapt technical material (group discussion guides, awareness raising material, M&E tools etc) in close collaboration with MHPSS lead
  • Develop and deliver trainings on Mental Health and Psychosocial Support, Psychological First Aid etc
  • Provide timely and quality inputs to meet reporting requirements and timeline.


  • Minimum 5 years’ of relevant experience in any development organization, including specific experience on MHPSS.
  • Experience of direct psychosocial support to vulnerable children and adults.
  • Supervision and management experience. Experience with developing technical material and conducting trainings.
  • Experience with community-based work.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; good communication skills in English, Bengali. Chittagonian is highly desirable.
  • Solution oriented, collaborative, maturity in dealing with challenging work and complex team structures.
  • Willingness of frequent field travel and capability of working under pressure are also essential.
  • Master’s Degree in Psychology/Sociology/Social Welfare.
