Save the Children invites applications for the following positions under an urgent response program to recent Rohingya Crisis in Bangladesh. We are working in different locations in Cox’s Bazar, providing vital services to displaced Rohingya peoples, including distributing the food, shelter, water & sanitation, education, health, nutrition, and child protection needs of the Rohingya refugees, particularly of the children.

Finance Coordinator (NGOAB Compliance)
Number of position: 1
Job Nature: Contractual
Contract Duration: 6 months, possibility of extension depending on availability of funding and performance
Job Location: Cox’s Bazar

The finance coordinator is the focal person for the NGOAB compliances in Cox Bazar. The role is a key contact point between Cox Bazar response team, Country Office. S/he is expected to be familiar with the NGOAB compliances and other compliance mechanism established by the Government of Bangladesh and proactively with internal stakeholders to meet all the compliance S/He will

  • Translate the donor budget into FD7 application as required by NGO Bureau, and closely liaise with Operations manager, government relationship team to carry out the required task
  • Maintain and Track approved, revised, applied and upcoming FD7 application and apprise the team periodically
  • Link and update the FD7 Budget with award budget and vice a versa and run a Budget Variance Analysis and advise Finance Lead and Programme Operations Team as required and advise on required revisions and Keep the books of accounts updated in line with FD7 requirements
  • Prepare timely FD7 Financial report (for audit) for submission and coordinate with audits as well as Dhaka Finance team in c/w audit
  • Coordinate, consult internal stake holders like programme operations, supply chain and award management team in preparation of FD7 application, revision and audit.
  • Perform other tasks as requested by the line manager on time to time


  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience with NGOs/INGOs.
  • Experience working in an large scale Finance Context.
  • Fair understanding & experience of NGO Bureau requirements & exposure donor regulations and compliance mechanism.
  • Good Understanding of Budgeting and Reporting.
  • Able to work independently.
  • High level of competency in Word and Excel.
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing & speaking). Familiar with ERP system and award management is preferable.
  • Master’s Degree in related subject (Finance, Accounting, Economics, and Business Administration) or qualified or semi qualified chartered accountant (ACCA, CPA, ACA, etc)
