The role

The Medical Officer will work as the lead clinical manager of an emergency medical team. S/he will be working in PHCC in Kerantoli camp 21 and other settlements/spontaneous settlements of Teknaf/Ukhiya upazilas and will be responsible for providing quality lifesaving care as per set protocols. The Medical Officer works across a variety of disciplines ensuring that all consultations with patients are ina dignified and appropriate manner in keeping with the standards and principles set out by SC. Delivers lifesaving clinical services at the PGCC, ensures quality clinical consultations, treatment, referral and follow up activities following the Ministry of Health protocols. Supervised clinical teams at triage, registration, bital signs, MUAC screening, consultations and pharmacy. Participate in the preparation of the clinic team weekly report as requested and engage with other Save the Children sectors working within the health post catchment to ensure internal referral mechanisms are in place and regularly reviewed.

Qualifications and experience

  • Medical Graduate (MBBS);
  • Minimum 02 years’ experience in rendering health & nutrition services;
  • Experience in managing clinical and non-clinical teams is preferred;
  • Experience in the leading the daily operations of a clinic is preferred;
  • Excellent interpersonal skill;
  • Motivation to work in the field areas and in hardship conditions;
  • Problem solving and decision making;
  • Proficiency on computer using, MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook etc.

Contract length: 06 months with possibility of extension depending on satisfactory performance and availability of funding.
