Manager - Quality and Implementation, SNMP

Save the Children invites applications for the above mentioned positions for a project title Strengthening National Midwifery Program (SNMP) which will support to improve quality of evidence based midwifery care in selected public health facilities in different Districts and Upazilas of all Divisions in Bangladesh. Qualified women are strongly encouraged to apply. Minimum requirements will be flexible for the potential female candidates.

The role

This position will be mainly responsible for overall coordination of program activities including quality of care as per standard variables and data quality in their assigned districts. S/he will work in collaboration with MOH&FW and oversee the implementation of the project at district and upazila level, provide guidance to clinical mentors and coordinate with relevant MOH&FW officials to ensure progress and quality. S/he will work as focal point to ensure capacity building of the mentors, deputy manager (program coordination) and the midwives working at the facilities, organize and assist in training of clinical mentors and prepare periodic progress report of the performance of the facilities.

Qualifications and experience

  • Medical Graduate (MBBS), preferably with Public Health
  • At least 6 years’ experience in program management including field implementation
  • Demonstrable experience in working closely with district/upazilla level MOH&FW
  • S/he is expected to have sound understanding of MOH&FW structure and functionalities
  • Ability to manage a complex and diverse workload and to work to tight deadline
  • Committed to contribute to a small and proactive team
  • Good communication skills, proficiency in MS Office.

Contract length: Contractual up to December 2019
