Deputy Manager - Campaign & Community Mobilization, Ujjiban Project

The role

This position will be responsible for leading the implementation of SBCC (Social and Behavior Change Communication) and community mobilization activities of the project and will support mapping of SBCC stakeholders and ongoing SBCC activities in selected districts. S/he will support development and implementation of district SBCC plan jointly with key stakeholders and will also provide guidance to Senior Project Officer for mobilization of community clinic support groups/ volunteers to supplement work of trained FWAs and HAs in the respective districts. S/he will also lead development and functioning of district level SBCC coordination committees and organize joint supervisory visits for the members to monitor the progress and quality of SBCC and community mobilization activities. S/he will work in close collaboration with the Divisional Manager- SBCC Activity and GOB district/upazila health and family planning managers. 

Qualifications and experience

  • At least 5 years’ experience, including 3 years in management position, preferably in community mobilization and SBCC activity related to maternal, new born, adolescent and child health (MNCAH), Nutrition and Family Planning (FP).
  • Demonstrated experience to work with District level Health and Family Planning managers is essential. And knowledge about the national health programs
  • S/he is expected to have the capacity to coordinate and collaborate effectively with MOHFW district authorities and different government units/departments at district level.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office. 
  • Master’s Degree, preferably in Social Science/Communication/ Public Health or relevant discipline.
