The role
Reporting directly to the Team Leader (TL), the post holder will be assisting the TL and Senior Management Team members and manage the SMT Support functions.  The position will coordinate and arrange organizational level regular meetings like SMT, ESMT, Weekly meeting and any other adhoc meetings involving high level SCI staff, visitors, donors and/or partners where SMT is significantly involved. Regular follow up of meeting decisions is another key responsibility. S/he will coordinate and prepare regular RR reports to CO, Region and the Center and presentations as assigned. S/he will provide ongoing administrative support to the TL and SMT, communicate with partners and donors, ensure arrangement of events and travel requirements of TL and SMT.

Qualifications and experience

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree and 03 years relevant working experience;
  • Ability to work under pressure and adjust to challenging working condition;
  • Proficient in report writing and documentation;
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills;
  • Superb coordination skills;
  • Excellent Inter-personal communication skills;
  • Absolute discretion, and willingness to maintain confidentiality;
  • Expertise in use of Project Management tools, MS Office; especially, Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Detailed knowledge on standard secretarial and administrative services especially on communication and filing systems and knowledge on international development organization’s work environment and standards is an advantage;
  • Certificate of Secretarial/Relevant Course is an advantage
  • MBA/Master’s Degree, preferably in English/Public Administration or relevant discipline is an advantage

Contract length: 12 months with possibility of extension depending on satisfactory performance and availability of funding.
