The role
The MIS Coordinator is primarily responsible for overseeing and assuring quality of the Rohingya Response MIS, with a particular focus on Award-level Indicator Performance Tracking Tables (IPTTs) and the Response-level Output Tracker (OT), in addition to maintaining sector level databases where required/coordinating with the sector-level MIS staff to ensure sector-level data feeds into IPTTs/the OT in a timely and accurate manner, line managing two Data Entry Assistants, and supporting the team in the areas of survey development in Kobo, data cleaning, processing and analysis, including providing capacity building in these technical areas. He/she will also take the lead in implementing the planned data quality audit process to be introduced in Q1 2019.

Qualifications and experience

  • Postgraduate degree in a relevant field;
  • At least four years’ experience in information management;
  • Strong computer skills, including demonstrable experience in Excel and Kobo;
  • Sound knowledge of quantitative and qualitative data collection, processing and analysis, including development and management of databases;
  • Comfortable designing and implementing training and other capacity building initiatives in technical areas of expertise
  • Good spoken, reading and writing skills in English & Bangla
  • Demonstrated understanding of the information management-related challenges experienced by the Rohingya Response team and how these can be addressed
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment as a strong team player, with flexibility to shift priorities and take on additional tasks at short notice

Contract length: 06 months with possibility of extension depending on satisfactory performance and availability of funding.
