The role
The Senor Officer - WASH is responsible to lead the assessment, plan the activities on the responsible camps based on the program objectives. S/he is responsible to design, estimate and implement the construction activities as well as monitor hygiene promotion at responsible camps. The position holder is also responsible for coordination with camp sector agencies and government agencies, procurement required at the camps to implement the WASH activities meeting the desire quality. S/he is responsible for train/orient officers, volunteers, facilitator as well as community. The position holder is responsible for regular supervision and monitoring the activities, follow up and evaluation of WASH infrastructure construction and rehabilitation in institutions as well as communities targeted by Save the Children in the response to ensure the quality, safeguarding and safety. The post is specifically oriented towards the WASH emergency response in the context of the crisis Rohingya, and special attention will be made on the integration of the WASH sector at implementation level at field such as nutrition, food security, health, education and child protection.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum o4 years professional experience, including 2 years in the field of WASH infrastructure construction management and integration of hygiene promotion in humanitarian or development context;
  • Experience in Hygiene Promotion programing;
  • Organization, coordination and planning skills;
  • Good computer skills;
  • Ability to listen and adapt;
  • Good personal skills;
  • Good knowledge of local language;
  • Perfect knowledge of oral and written English;
  • Experience with working with subcontractors and partners is an advantage;
  • Experience on current Rohingya response is an added advantage;

Contract length: 06 months with possibility of extension depending on satisfactory performance and availability of funding.
