Manager – Maternal, Newborn, Child Health & Nutrition, Shishuder Jonno

The role

S/he will be responsible for MNCHN (Maternal, Newborn, Child Health & Nutrition) program planning and implementation in urban and rural impact areas. S/he will also be responsible to manage/capacity-building support to strategic partners (DGHS supported Community Clinics & Union Sub-Centers, Upazilla Health Complexes, Sadar Hospital and Medical College Hospitals, DGFP supported MFSTC Hospital and UHFWCs & other centers, Dhaka North & South City Corporation supported UPHCSDP clinics, Smiling Sun Clinics etc.) and project/implementing partners. S/he will also be responsible in developing monitoring tools & techniques and also do routine monitoring & supervision, and facilitate accountability & document learning of the MNCHN program at urban and rural impact areas. S/he will be responsible for documentation of processes/successes/ pilot study/research findings etc. TheManager will coordinate and do advocacy with different GO/NGOs/private agencies at local level including partner NGO for cooperation, collaboration and sharing programs at Dhaka and Barishal division to district to downward level, whenever necessary.

Qualifications and experience

  • Medical Graduate (MBBS), preferably with Masters in Public Health (MPH).
  • At least 6 years working experience, 3 years of community based MNCHN related work.
  • Sound technical knowledge on MNCHN and its challenges of Bangladesh, including rural and urban contexts.
  • Demonstrated experience on facilitating training/workshop/meetings, and curriculum development
  • Excellent coordination skills, ability to facilitate training/workshop/meetings
  • Experience on curriculum development, appropriate computer proficiency in Microsoft
  • Proficiency in MS Office package
