Senior Manager – Protection of Children from Violence

The role

The Senior Manager – Protection of Children from Violence has the overall responsibility of timely delivery of the Protection of Children from Violence program, including staff and budget management responsibilities, while meeting the SCI standards of program quality. This position is also responsible to provide managerial and technical support to overall sub-thematic projects, to assist in the smooth implementation, quality improvement of planned programs and contribute to program development and fund raising initiatives. S/he is also being working closely with the sector Director and technical experts of child protection in national, regional & global level (CPI) and networking with likeminded organisation on various issues of child protection.

Qualifications and experience

  • Preferably, 7 years of experience in relevant field/ programs, with at least 3 years in senior management position.
  • S/he is expected to have thorough understanding on contemporary child rights programming and child protection issues in Bangladesh along with strong advocacy and networking skill
  • Demonstrated experience of working through community participation and accountability; monitoring and evaluating child protection programmes in emergency and strengthening capacity of staffs as well as other stakeholders
  • Knowledge of institutional donors and experience of developing proposals including budgeting.
  • Experience of project management including budget management of multiple awards.
  • Ability to work in a challenging environment, maintain a positive team dynamic, excellent interpersonal-skills/ ability to represent the organization with local authorities and community leaders.
  • Strong communication skills with excellent written and spoken ability in English
  • Masters Degree, preferably in Social sciences or relevant discipline
