Information Management Coordinator (1), Rohingya Response

The role:
The IMS Coordinator will be the main focal person to operate the IMS, other ICT applications for monitoring, evaluation and research, and data management across SCI Rohingya Response Child Protection in Emergencies (CPiE) programs. She/he will be primarily responsible to design and manage CP databases as well as develop or customized tools of data collection on various IMS and CPiE templates while ensuring effective operations following ICT strategies/principles. The position will be also responsible for managing Database Officers and supervise Database Assistants while ensuring regular capacity building of both IMS and CP colleagues in data collection tools and common practices. S/he will work closely with CP Project Managers, Officers, Program Managers, Advisors and Specialists while collaborating with the MEAL team and more specifically, with the MEAL Officer dedicated to CP. The IMS Coordinator will be required to attend meetings and workshops related to data management systems related to CP. Other responsibilities include ensuring data quality standard e.g. validity, reliability, precision, integrity, time lines in validating the collected data/information; prepare short narrative/formative reports of the findings on her/his audit of the complained cases

Qualifications and experience:

  • At least 3-4 years’ working experience in IMS, especially on large scale data management
  • S/he is expected to have sound knowledge on RDBMS tools and common techniques preferably on latest SQL Server 2012 or above.
  • Knowledge on database backup and maintenance using SQL Server; program performance monitoring skills; expertise in data validation tools and techniques
  • Passion for new technology, research and development aptitudes
  • Strong analytical skills especially qualitative analysis; accuracy in drafting
  • Ability to work under pressure; be flexible in challenging situation and willingness to work extra hours
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skill both in English and Bangla
  • Masters in relevant subject, preferably in Information Management/Statistics/Computer Science

Contract length: 12 months with possibilities of extension
