Manager- Resource Mobilization (1), Rohingya Response

The role:
This senior position has overall responsibility for the direction and coordination of the Resource Mobilization (RM) team, playing a lead role in mobilizing resources to meet the needs of children in Rohingya Response. S/he will work with program teams to identify and follow up on linkages between donor strategies, member interests and country office priorities and will play a key role in facilitating smooth communication between all stakeholders. The incumbent will be responsible for the formulation of the funding strategy for Rohingya Response and be responsible for identifying funding opportunities and matching them to program needs. S/he will be accountable for reaching fundraising targets, ensuring the development and timely submission of high quality project proposals as well as working in close collaboration with thematic area technical teams and other departments. S/he will also oversee the coordination of Go/No-Go to evaluate opportunities for Rohingya Response with key senior staff as well as maintain relevant trackers and planners to monitor RM performance.

Qualifications and experience:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in proposal development/resource mobilization, including 3 years in a management position.
  • S/he is expected to have understanding of donor proposal requirements (EC/USAID/DFID, corporates, etc) along with a proven track record in developing winning concept notes and project proposals
  • Highly skilled in program design, including development of log frames, results frameworks, and budgeting is required.
  • Good understanding of current humanitarian situation in Bangladesh as well as ability to work well in an international environment with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills in English, strong interpersonal and communication skills including influencing, negotiation and coaching,
  • Ability to present complex information in a concise and compelling manner
  • Good facilitation, cross-functional leadership skills and analytical ability are also desired
  • Master’s Degree is required, preferably in Social Science/International Development/Development Studies or relevant discipline

Contract length: 12 months with possibilities of extension
