Manager - Field Coordination (2), Rohingya Response

The role:

The overall responsibility of Field Coordination Manager (FCM) is to strengthen community mobilization and field coordination by developing systems and processes in Save the Children’s area of operation under Rohingya Response program. The position will also provide support to the Senior Manager Field Coordination for ensuring quality, integration, accountability, and representation of programming. The role includes line management responsibility and will have delegated budget authority.

The post holder will develop implementation plans for new initiatives and operationalize these initiatives with the support of the Field Coordinators. S/he will keep the senior manager updated on changing dynamics in the camps as well as GoB procedures within the camp. The FCM will also be responsible for maintaining good working relationships and a collaborative spirit with SC program teams, working together to design and coordinate training plans for community mobilisers and capacity building plans for Field Coordinators. As a line manager, the FCM will also support Field Coordinators with administrative and operational challenges, problem solving to ensure smooth operations of Save the Children activities in the camp, and clear communication in between field and office. The FCM will be expected to join CIC general coordination meetings across camps managed by Field Coordinators periodically to keep updated on changes in context and operating environment. The position will also support with recruitment and procurement.

Qualifications and experience:

  • At least 5 years working experiences in a similar field including field experience and management or supervisory experience.
  • Sound understanding about work across several sectors - Health, Nutrition, WASH, Child Protection, Education
  • Demonstrated experience of community mobilization as well as familiarity with current context
  • Ability to work in a challenging environment, maintain a positive team dynamic, excellent interpersonal communication skill, ability to represent the organization with local authorities and community leaders.
  • Strong communication skills with excellent written and spoken ability in English and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Master’s degree, considering quality experience education may relax

Contract length: 06 months with possibilities of extension

Job Location: Cox’s Bazar with a possibility of relocation to Teknaf and Ukhia
