Senior Officer – Financial Planning and Analysis

The Role
This position is mainly responsible to support Deputy Manager-Financial Planning & Analysis in the areas of budget management, and cost proposal development of the Country Office. Responsibilities include, s/he will assist program point person/budget holders in preparing and interpreting budget and assist the program team in preparation of costed work plan and preparing procurement plan. S/he will work closely with the deputy Manager to analyse system generated Budget vs. Actual reports and liaison with FMS team for timely producing finance data for donor reports.

Qualifications and experience

  • At least 4 years’ experience within the finance department of a national or international organization including experience in emergencies.
  • S/he is expected to have sufficient knowledge and practical experience on budgeting and budget management,
  • Sound understanding on financial systems and procedures, excellent analytical skills and ability to analyse complex financial data.
  • Ability to contribute to a small proactive team and working collaboratively with colleagues and providing support and advice as necessary.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially in Excel
  • Master’s Degree, preferably in Finance/ Business Administration or relevant discipline.
