SOS Children's Village International in Bangladesh www.sos-bangladesh.org is a private, non-political and non-denominational child welfare organisation provides care for the children who have lost parental care or who are at risk of losing parental care and deprived of caring family environment.SOS Children’s Villages International, the mother organisation of SOS Children’s Village International in Bangladesh is one of the largest private child welfare organisation presently working in 135 countries and territories around the world. In Bangladesh, we have been working since 1972. Applications are invited for the following position:

Position: Assistant Director, Fund-raising

Job Location: National Office, Dhaka

Qualification & Experience: 

  • Must have Hons. & Masters in any discipline (preferably in Management/Marketing) with excellent academic records. (At least second Division / Class in all public examinations.)
  • Masters or equivalent degree (Management/Marketing preferred) with not less than 2nd division/class in any public examination.
  • 8-10 years of working experience in fundraising or in business development where clients include major companies.
  • Person with passion for the cause of children and having knowledge in Corporate Business Development or
  • Relationship Management with High Net worth Individuals.
  • Ability in implementing multi-disciplinary marketing activities with tight timescales
  • The understanding and experience of Corporate Social Responsibility sector will be an added advantage.
  • Good knowledge of UNCRC and socio-cultural systems.
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
  • Age limit 35-40years.
  • Adequate knowledge and skills on computer applications, especially MS office packages

Key Performance Area: 

  • Support supervisor in development of corporate fundraising strategy and annual plans.
  • Work with a cross functional team to develop concepts and proposals that can raise funds from foundations/corporations and high net worth individuals.
  • Develop a prospect base from among the target audience that can be approached over a period of time to build a robust pipeline of proposals in various stages of acceptance.
  • Manage submission of proposals and reports as per agreed time and quality standards.
  • Manage partnerships with donors/prospects including facilitating visits to programmes being supported.
  • To actively be part of business networks so as to spread awareness about SOS Children’s Villages mission and engage them in future partnerships.
  • In order to meet organizational and fundraising priorities you could be required to perform other duties as directed by the Supervisor.

Salary: BDT 40,000.00 (Consolidated)

After probation period of one year, upon confirmation, co-workers will be entitled to receive regular Salary-Scale and other benefits (Provident Fund, Festival Bonus, Gratuity etc.) as per organizational existing policy.
