SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL is an international humanitarian organization based in Paris, France, which provides aid and assistance to victims of war and natural disasters. For the past 35 years, the organization’s vocation has been to meet the three vital needs - drinking, eating and sheltering – of vulnerable populations around the world. Our programs mainly focus on emergency relief actions related to water and sanitation but also related to food security as well as shelter and infrastructure rehabilitation and reconstruction.

Protection Data Entry Officer

Affectation: Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh
Start of the activities: As soon as possible
Number of position: 01 (One)
Duration of the contract: Up to March 31, 2018

I. Major responsibilities of the Protection Officer will include the followings;
The Protection Data and Referral Clerk assists the operation teams in the entry, processing and backing-up of Protection information collected in the field and is responsible for

Identification/need assessment:

  • Maintain updated Protection databases
  • Maintain updated location maps for Solidarités International activities in Protection
  • Maintain updated services mapping in Solidarires International working area
  • Enter data provided into the appropriate software
  • Support the team in the processing of information and data gathered
  • File and back up information and data
  • Maintain a confidential management of Protection data
  • Produce and provide the data and information requested by the program teams
  • Inform the direct supervisor if any referral needs to be done and/or followed-up by the team and update the follow-up system

II. Qualification & Experience:  

  • Higher Secondary School certificate
  • Minimum 1 years of working experience in relevant fields

Other key competencies: 

  • Excellent skills in Chittagonian language
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and cultural tolerance;
  • Demonstrated ability to work with others in a team environment;
  • Sound knowledge of MS Office can be added value 
  • Knowledge on local context
III. Salary Range: BDT 38,300 per month and other benefits as per the organization HR policy.
