Position: Chief Finance Officer (CFO)


  • Provide overall guidance and oversight to Financial Management Bangladesh Operations
  • Coordinate with GM Accounts and Finance and other senior managers in Bangladesh and overseas for financial management, reporting and decision making.
  • Review availability of skills in the finance team and recommend changes as appropriate
  • Prepare strategic financial management plan
  • Monitor financial performance of the operation on company’s ERP (SMECNet), analyze data and prepare reports for the management
  • Review and monitor financial compliance, carry out financial audits
  • Review financial statements for Bangladesh operations
  • Coordinate with Divisional Finance Director and prepare reports accordingly
  • Review Monthly Management Reports and Project Summary Reports and make recommendations as required
  • Formulate and monitor annual Financial Budgets and Forecasts, including reporting on variances
  • Control overhead and project expenses against budget and Review Financial Proposals
  • Maintain liaison with Clients, Tax Department, Company Finance Advisor & Auditor and deal Company tax issues
  • Perform any other duties as directed by the management


  • Graduate/Masters in Commerce/Finance. CA/CMA intermediate level will be an added advantage. CA/FCA/ACMA/FCMA persons are welcome.
  • Proven work experience as a CFO of any organization for 2-5 years will be given preference.
  • At least 8 years experience in related field is required.
  • Experience as a Finance Manager/Finance controller in Engineering Consultancy Industry will get added advantages.
  • Excellent communication skills and proven relationship building skills with ability of distance reporting system.
  • Solid knowledge of best practices and familiarity with Finance, Costing, MIS, Audit & Statutory is required.
  • Exposure to Computerized Finance Systems and Global Reporting with good Managerial Skills is required.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Age between 40 and 50
