Position: Site Engineer, Civil
Under the direct supervision of Project Engineer of Ship Aichi Medical Service Limited (SAMSL), she/he will assists in full time supervising the construction works of the project. Especially civil, plumbing, sanitary, water supply and carpentry works; Preparation of layout plans and other drawings in Auto CAD. Perform necessary official communication in PC. Also supervise the Interior Decoration works & Landscape works of Ship Aichi Medical Service Limited (SAMSL).
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
- Performs supervision of all kinds of civil construction, plumbing, water supply and carpentry works. Ensure safety and security of the construction site. Ensuring the quality of the works.
- Assess the construction materials requirement; verify the materials requisition of contractor; verify the field measurement; review contractor’s bill.
- Assist Project Engineer to estimate of civil, carpentry, plumbing sanitary and other related works to assess the materials requirement. And control the wastage of materials.
- Visit and monitor the quality of materials in RMC plant during casting by Ready Mix Concrete (RMC) and rate analysis of all types of construction items.
- Ensuring the safety and propoer housekeeping at working area/site.
In order to perform this role the post requires the following skills:
KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
- Education: B Sc. or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 03 years working experience as B.Sc Engineer or 7 Years working experience as Diploma Engineer in the related field in multinational organization/Hotel/Hospital projects.
- Should have good knowledge of computer aided design (Auto CAD), as well as computer literacy with proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel.
- Very good written and spoken Bengali and English. Understanding of Japanese language will be an added advantage.
SKILLS AND EFFORT
- Expected to have knowledge of computer-aided design.
- Must have adequate knowledge regarding structural and architectural drawings
- Must have the ability to work in extra pressure under any situation.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Must be able to work in stressed environment
- Able to provide prompt solution to problem relating to construction and renovation work
- Has to supervise different emergency works beyond office hours and also on holidays
