Combating Commercial Sexual Exploitation of the Children (CCSEC) Project

Job Context:

With support from the European Union (EU) in Bangladesh, Terre des Hommes Netherlands in Consortium with SEEP, SSS and Breaking the Silence is implementing CCSEC project with an aim to contribute to the elimination of commercial sexual exploitation of children in Bangladesh from January 2016 to June 2019. The project is managed by a team of full-time and part-time staff at the consortium office in Dhaka and in the field under the leadership of the Project Consortium Leader, supported by the Project Steering Committee (PSC) of the Consortium. Terre des Hommes Netherlands oversees the program implementation as the grant management organization while SEEP as the Consortium lead is managing the programme implementation with other implementing partners.

Job Description / Responsibility:

• To make communication and promotional material production plan/social communication plan following budgetary projection;
• To produce content and design for IEC/BCC materials, promotional items and make dissemination plan;
• To formulate concept note, presentations, case studies and relevant document;
• To foster CSO networks, media relations and printing houses;
• To execute website development/maintenance and harness social media;
• To write and circulate press release, meeting minutes/talking points/official speeches in line with different advocacy/press event;
• To carry out high profile advocacy meeting with Government High ups with support from team;
• To conduct communication/outreach campaign/case study development training for project staff;
• To adhere compliance with branding and marking policy of the European Union;

Job Nature: Contractual ( as on 30.06.2019)

Educational Requirements:

• At least Master's Degree in Journalism and Mass communication with proficient understanding of child sexual abuse and exploitations, rights-based programming and social mobilization and communication.

Experience Requirements:

• At most 5 year(s)
• The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): Communication/Public Relation/Media, Advocacy
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): NGO

Job Requirements:

• Age 30 to 40 year(s)
• At least 5 years of experiences working in multi-dimensional projects including three years hands-on responsibilities of managing communication and/or Sexual abuse and exploitation projects.
• Excellent leadership and negotiation quality, experience of coordinating multi-partners projects will be an added advantage.
• Experience in advocacy, research, and communications including technology (the web, social media) based communications and networking.
• Experience in partnership management and PNGO capacity building.
• Excellent presentation & report writing skills.
• Working in EU funded project will be an added value.

Job Location: Dhaka

Salary Range: Tk. 57,245
