Service engineers work with a wide range of medical, technical and administrative staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, test and implement new medical procedures, such as computer-aided surgery
• Design, develop, test and modify products, equipment and devices
• Maintain liaison with medical, engineering and scientific staff
• Train staff to use equipment safely
• Maintain equipment
• Write reports and documentation
• Evaluate electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of electricity and materials.
• Confirm system's and components' capabilities by designing testing methods; testing properties.
• Prepare product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Provide engineering information by answering questions and requests.
• Keep equipment operational by following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting repair service.
• Maintain product data base by writing computer programs; entering data.
• Complete projects by training and guiding technicians.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

• B. Sc. / Diploma in Biomedical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering
