Efforts to widen health coverage through development of more hospitals are already underway. SAJIDA is seeking a Program Head for its project titled Promoting Sustainable Health and Nutrition Opportunities for marginalized urban extreme poor population (PROSHOMON). The Project will focus on improving health and nutrition status of the extreme poor by increasing accessibility, coverage, comprehensiveness and sustainability of existing primary health and nutrition services in Chandpur and Feni Municipalities. The Program Head will provide strategic guidance to the project team to achieve project objective and work closely with SAJIDA and CWW to implement Smart Card based urban health voucher scheme project.

JOB LOCATION: Dhaka (with frequent field visits to Feni and Chandpur project sites)

REQUIREMENTS

  • Masters in Health Economics (MHE), Master Public Health (MPH), Health System Management, MBA or relevant discipline
  • Minimum of 1o years’ experience working in Health and Nutrition Sector, working experience in health financing, Universal Health Coverage (UHC)
  • Experience of working on Urban Health, Nutrition and Health Voucher Scheme preferred
  • Good theoretical and working knowledge of voucher management hierarchy
  • Experience and competence of working with high-level policy makers of MOHFW, MOLGRD&C and other Ministries
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills and ability to resolve problems constructively

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide input to the strategic and operational plan for the functional areas of the project
  • Ensure partnership is established with partner, municipalities, existing health service providers, MOHFW/MOLGRD&C representatives at site level, NGOs, Private sector providers, to deliver the project objective effectively
  • Support to build an effective partnership and platform for coordination among the Donors, MOHFW, MOLGRD&C, APPG, and urban service providers in the field of Health, Nutrition and Population Services
  • Lead and manage project team by providing appropriate strategic management and technical support to team members
  • Develop the Advocacy strategy with clearly defined advocacy issues, objectives and strategies in line with project proposal
  • Engage all partners and stakeholders to implement the strategy
  • Monitor the progress in achieving advocacy objective and take corrective measures
  • Monitor, Control and evaluate budget and actual expenditures on a monthly basis
  • Networking with other NGOs and key agencies in the project area to prevent duplication and enhance project quality, innovation and sustainability
  • Facilitate project meetings, calls and workshops with internal and external teams that drive decisions and actions
