Scope of Work:

The Operation Assistant - Supply – CXB works under direct supervision of the Operations Officer-Procurement and Logistics, provides supply operational support to RI’s Cox’s Bazar Rohingya Response Program, including assist in procurement, and supply chain, stock keeping, preparing supply documents. This is a new program opening in a complicated conflict setting requiring maximal flexibility, honest & transparency, patience with formalities, long hours working, and creative thinking.

Position Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assist in procurement and supply chain including, collecting quotes, following with vendors, processing documents for approval and handing small cash purchases etc 
  • Stock keeping and transit stock management at Cox’s level including goods receiving, managing goods in transit and arranging delivery of material, maintaining stock card and stock register entry etc.
  • Received the Purchase request and confirm the PR no.
  • Organize and update the procurement tracker daily and share with concern SMT group
  • Issued purchase order follow up the concern vendors and confirm the meet of the dead lines.
  • Support in documentation of the procurement related file
  • Perform any other duties is assigned by Supervisor

Qualifications & requirements:

  • At least a bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject.
  • 1 year work experience in procurement/supply chain or related field, preferably with NGOs
  • Able to prioritize, communicate effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel and work extensively – sometimes at short notice, in difficult places and under long hours – according to a results-based approach
  • Able to work independently and within a team.
  • Diligent in work processes.
  • Flexible in schedule, attitude and work prioritization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google software, particularly Google Drive, Gmail, Google Docs, MS Word and MS Excel. Adobe suite preferred.
  • Fluency in English & Bangla.
