Position: CP Community Mobilizer (1 position)
Duty Station: Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh
Reports to: CP Officer (RI, Cox’s Bazar)
Liaise with: Protection Team
Contract Duration: 3 months with possibility of extension upon budget
Possible Contract Starting Date: ASAP

Position Summary: As a community mobilizer, you will be responsible for set-up the adolescence group/ leader, Child Protection Groups. Empower these group to be a community-based child protection and referral pathway in camp, extension area and host communities under the guidance from Protection Manager.

Position Responsibilities and Duties:
Join the design activities and plan with child protection officer;

  • Mobilize a potential adolescent to set-up adolescent group/ leader with provision of gender balance and culture appropriated or linked them with the existing youth group
  • Engage with community to set-up child protection group with provision of gender balance, diversity and cultural appropriated or linked with the existing community group
  • Conduct training/ workshop on child protection, child abuse, early marriage, child labour and trafficking to adolescent group and child protection group
  • Document all training sessions showing participant number and session evaluation report achievement, difficulties, and way forward to report to child protection officer weekly
  • Document number of appropriated referring vulnerable children by child protection group and adolescent group to access to service providers and report daily to child protection case management officer
  • Maintain good coordination/ collaboration with other RI staffs and partner
  • Ensure recognized international best practices and Relief International policies are applied in the work with women, girls and vulnerable persons
  • Any other responsibilities as requested by supervisor

Person Specification
Education:  Bachelor degree (Social workers, Psychology, Nurse, Public health, relevant degree)
Work Experience: Experience working with NGO in Cox’s bazar is preferable

Language Skills: 

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken in Bangali and English
  • Good command in Rohingya, an asset
