Required Experience
  • 7-10 years experience in a similar capacity.
  • Experience of handling Logistics business covering customer service & operation (including trucking, customs brokerage, CFS).
Required Skills
  • Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff independently.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.
  • Excellent customer management skills.
  • Has the functional and technical knowledge to do the job at a high level of accomplishment.
  • Sound knowledge of Logistics Process such as Freight Forwarding, Consolidation, and Transportation.
  • Have good rapport with Port, Customs, Berth Operators, feeder operators, shipping lines, depot operators, C&F Agents.
  • Process oriented and experience in writing logistics process/procedural documents.
  • Capability to apply structured logic to resolve complex problems.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills. Capable of articulating issues and proposed solutions with both internal and external customers.
  • Knowledge of local law pertaining to freight forwarding, trucking and customs clearance.
  • The position will have to handle all issues pertaining to operation and will have to exchange clear and concise procedural instruction to operations team to adhere to.
Qualification
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree from any reputed University.
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
    Sea Freight Operations (FCL, LCL, Import, Export), Handling Large Nominated buyers cargo as per their SOP.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This position plays key role in serving our customers in freight forwarding product line covering Operations and Customer Service (Sea & Air both, Export & Import) services delivering direct revenue for the company.
  • Communication is the key. Must be reachable responsive on available means of communications/devices. All incoming calls from customers, shipping line, sales & customer service must be answered.
  • Will be responsible for Import & Export via Sea & Air all operations (depot, port) and customer service (Vessel Schedule/Booking/Shipment Advise/IGM Submission/ LCL un-stuffing & tally follow up, DO & NOC Issue Sea & Air) activities.
  • Will update sales person & customer service about cargo position, IGM status, delivery status, etc as & when required.
  • Smooth and errorless operation at port, depot, & warehouse.
  • Correct, consistence and  timely information flow from operation to other level .
  • Structure root cause analysis and timely issues resolution at operations point.
  • Maintaining delivery & warehouse related data integrity and tracking & storing documents and able to supply while required.
  • Deployment of resources at operation points to ensure sufficient resources are allocated to manage changes in volume and increasing demands of customer requirements.
  • Leverage technology, resources, and establish programs to gather feedback and seek improvement opportunities from internal and external customers.
  • Accurate and timely provision of pertinent information on port, customs and depot operation changes and requirements to customers to facilitate planning and changes in operations and initiatives as required.
