JOB HOLDER |
Country and Base Assignment: Bangladesh, Cox’s Bazar |
OBJECTIVE |
The influx officer is responsible for keeping track and collecting information on influx into the sites and migration in general on site level. |
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS |
1. Planning and organization
- Contribute to the community engagement schedule and work plan with the Community Engagement Team Leader
- Feed into enhancing community engagement tools as necessary
2. Implementation
- Using appropriate tools, collect and register information on influx and migration into the community
- Feed into enhancing tools for data collection
- Develop close relations with community focal points, Mahjis, community leaders and relevant actors
- Collect any ad hoc population data in an accurate fashion
- Ensure that collection of data is appropriate and completed with a protection-focus especially for various population groups including women, and people with disabilities or injuries
- Carry out FGD and KIIs with various groups including children, women, people with disabilities, and injuries in a protection-focused approach
- Develop close relations with the community
- Respect schedules and deadlines agreed upon with his/her supervisor
- Report back any problems and constraints encountered during the activities and suggest operational solutions
3. Logistics / Administration / HR
- When managing daily workers, follow procedures and directives outlined by his/her supervisor manager and the administrative service
- Track usage with monitoring tools provided
4. Reporting, monitoring and follow-up
- Feeding into updating community identified needs and gaps
- Report any major issues, gaps to community engagement team leader
- Provide feedback to Community Engagement Team Leader on main issues, visible trends in influx and migration, or gaps as identified from the field
- Monitor all new developments on site and report key elements to his/her supervisor
- Establish and maintain good relations with local participants, communities (populations) in the operational fields, RRRC representatives and contractors/workers
- Listen to the populations and local participants in the field and report to his/her supervisor any non-technical or safety-related issues which could affect the activities or safety of PUI teams

REQUIRED SKILLS |
- Language skills: Fluent in English, Fluent in Bangla (including knowledge of local dialect of Chittagong)
- Computer Skills: Good knowledge of MS office (including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)
- Education degree: National Diploma in a relevant field (humanities, social sciences…)
- Work experience:
Previous experience with NGOs/INGOs is a strong asset
Previous experience in Humanitarian work an asset
Previous experience in data collection an asset

All-inclusive between: 40,700-50,700 BDT |
