JOB HOLDER

Country and Base Assignment: Bangladesh, Cox’s Bazar

OBJECTIVE

The feedback mechanism officer is primarily in-charge of the appropriate collection of feedback from the refugee community, humanitarian NGOs, and other stakeholders on site.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

1. Planning and organization

  • Contribute to the feedback mechanism schedule and work plan with the Community Engagement Team Leader
  • Feed into enhancing feedback collection tools as necessary

2. Implementation

  • Using appropriate tools, collect and register feedback from the community and relevant actors on site
  • Feed into enhancing feedback collection tools and mechanisms
  • Develop close relations with the community
  • Whenever relevant, provide feedback for the community and relevant actors on specific issues
  • Ensure that collection of feedback is appropriate and completed with a protection-focus especially for various population groups including women, and people with disabilities or injuries
  • Support and work on developing feedback channels with the community and other actors
  • Participate in on-site FGD with specific groups to ensure relevant feedback is captured
  • Support in maintaining the help-desk and information desk at field level
  • Respect schedules and deadlines agreed upon with his/her supervisor
  • Report back any problems and constraints encountered during the activities and suggest operational solutions

3. Logistics / Administration / HR

  • When managing daily workers, follow procedures and directives outlined by his/her supervisor manager and the administrative service
  • Track usage with monitoring tools provided

4. Reporting, monitoring and follow-up

  • Provide feedback to Community Engagement Team Leader on main issues or gaps as identified from the field
  • Ensure that sensitive information on protection-related feedback especially Child Protection and GBV are collected in an appropriate manner and in line with minimum PUI standards
  • Monitor all new developments on site and report key elements to his/her supervisor
  • Report any issues, gaps, needs as necessary to Community Engagement Team Leader
  • Establish and maintain good relations with local participants, communities (populations) in the operational fields, RRRC representatives and contractors/workers
  • Listen to the populations and local participants in the field and report to his/her supervisor any non-technical or safety-related issues which could affect the activities or safety of PUI teams

REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Language skills: Fluent in English, Fluent in Bangla (including knowledge of local dialect of Chittagong)
  • Computer Skills:  Basic user of MS office (including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Education degree: National Diploma in a relevant field (social sciences, human rights, etc.)
  • Work experience:

    Previous experience with NGOs/INGOs is strong asset
    Previous experience in team management is a strong asset
    Previous experience in Humanitarian work asset

SALARY

All inclusive: 40,700-50,700 BDT
